Celebrating On The Pitch With The Champions Newcastle United

2,500 Geordies made the 820 mile round trip to Plymouth on Monday (April 19th) to see their club put right the pain and embarrassment of last years relegation. A point was needed to confirm our promotion as Champions, but we took all 3 instead. View the video below that i took of the last few moments of the match and the subsequent pitch invasion.

An amazing night, with an amazing atmosphere was capped off on full time when the toon faithful invaded the pitch to celebrate with the Newcastle United players.

I have to say though, the Plymouth fans and officials were amazing sports. Before the game they paraded a banner congratulating Newcastle (see pic below) before handing the banner over to the Newcastle fans, and then on full time our fans were allowed onto the pitch while “The Blaydon Races”, “We Are The Champions” and “Local Hero” were played out on the speaker system. Plymouth fans also came onto the pitch and congratulated the Newcastle fans which was very nice of them. continue reading »

I could end this post right now with a simple answer to this blog posts title…….. I haven’t got a clue.

For the first time ever, i dont feel like renewing my season ticket for the coming season, and i know i’m not alone in feeling that way. All i am clinging onto right now is the hope of new owners and the appointment of Alan Shearer bringing new hope. continue reading »
