How To Enable Firefox Download Warning On Quit

So you are downloading a huge 1GB file using Firefox, and its been downloading for ages and for whatever reason you quit Firefox. Maybe you just forgot you were downloading the file or it might have just been an accident. The fact is though, you will probably have to restart that download, and if you’re like me, you will find that extremely frustrating. Maybe i’m to quick too tap CMD+Q on my keyboard, but i’m sure i’m not alone.

Thankfully there is a way to enable a warning in Firefox, so if you try and quit Firefox while you are downloading something, the software will ask you if you really want to quit.

How To Stop Websites From Tracking You Using Firefox

Have you ever noticed whilst browsing a website such as an online shopping website, that when you then go onto another website, you then see banner ads which are advertising the exact kind of products you were just looking at on that shopping website?

This kind of thing is becoming more and more regular, with websites using cookies and other things to track exactly what you are looking at and then sharing that data with third party ad networks who in turn are then able to show highly targeted ads to you.

How To Start Firefox 4 In 32-bit Mode

When I recently upgraded Firefox on my mac to version 4.0, i noticed when i loaded certain websites that i would get a popup error message saying that i could only launch that web pages plugins whilst the Firefox browser was running in 32-bit mode. Firefox 4 – Remove Favicons From Bookmarks Toolbar

I have just upgraded my Firefox browser on my mac to version 4.0, and one thing that stuck out straight away that really annoyed me, was that on the bookmark toolbar all of my bookmarks and folders had a favicon beside them. In version 3.6 these favicons weren’t there and it really helped keep my browsers layout as clean as possible and of course it gave the bookmark menu a little more room.
