I recently registered a great little domain name, nufc.tv, which of course relates to Newcastle United. I had some spare time today so I put together a quick website which can be found at www.nufc.tv and its a simple idea of aggregating a number of Newcastle United websites and displaying all the latest news articles all on one page. Check it out at www.nufc.tv

I was recently contacted by the Newcastle Fans United group who asked me if they could use some of my video footage from the Newcastle Vs Plymouth match on April 19th 2010, when Newcastle secured promotion back to the Premier League as Champions. The fans group are creating a short film to highlight the financial trouble that Plymouth Argyle find themselves in, and facing the distinct possibility of going out of business. continue reading »

Things were going too well at Newcastle United. Emphatic promotion back to the premier league as champions, decent start to the new premier league season, destroying our local rivals 5-1, great team spirit and a set of players who actually wanted to play for this club, so obviously theres only one thing that the club should do. Thats right, sack the manager.
Chris Hughton has done an amazing job at Newcastle United, and was on course to accomplish our aim of avoiding relegation in our first season back in the premier league. Most Newcastle fans at the beginning of the season would have been happy with finishing 17th at the end of the season, so to be 11th in the league right now is just fine. continue reading »

2,500 Geordies made the 820 mile round trip to Plymouth on Monday (April 19th) to see their club put right the pain and embarrassment of last years relegation. A point was needed to confirm our promotion as Champions, but we took all 3 instead. View the video below that i took of the last few moments of the match and the subsequent pitch invasion.
An amazing night, with an amazing atmosphere was capped off on full time when the toon faithful invaded the pitch to celebrate with the Newcastle United players.
I have to say though, the Plymouth fans and officials were amazing sports. Before the game they paraded a banner congratulating Newcastle (see pic below) before handing the banner over to the Newcastle fans, and then on full time our fans were allowed onto the pitch while “The Blaydon Races”, “We Are The Champions” and “Local Hero” were played out on the speaker system. Plymouth fans also came onto the pitch and congratulated the Newcastle fans which was very nice of them. continue reading »

316 days earlier I was at Villa Park to experience the pain and humiliation of relegation out of the Premier League after 16 years. Newcastle United was a team with no spirit, no ambition and no hope. We were heading to the Championship, and a lot of people thought eventually on its way to League 1.
A summer of rumoured takeovers and mis-management led to a 6-1 thrashing by Leyton Orient in a friendly on July 29th, but that was the day that Newcastle United was reborn and a new era began. continue reading »
